During our NC year...Alexander was turning into a very good DT before his injury. After that injury...he really started to slow down...
Like someone said above...Woods might have been overrated because of his classification. I remember him throwing 170lb kids around. Davenport might follow that mold too...but the good thing about Davenport is he dominated top competition in camps. I'm not sure Woods ever did that...

alexander... injuries just sometime cant be avoided. maybe he didnt stretch enough?
woods i think played behind some talent but maybe he never showed the work ethic? sometimes when it looks like a guy is not "coached" up maybe he was lazy and never put forth the effort to get on the field. i am not saying this is the case, but not all the blame should be put on the coaches all the time. maybe the coaches never lit the fire under his butt to make him want to get on the field?
there are tons of reasons that highly rated talent does not produce.

The fact is AW dominated at the camp combines and that's why he was given a 5th *. My personal view from the beginning (while he was still in h/s) was his future would be brighter as an o-lineman at LSU. I was mildly surprised he was never tried there, given Miles' propensity for moving big athletic Dlinemen to the offense. Woods is still a tremendous athlete,(the kid can two-hand jam from a flat-footed position)so there is still a pro future for him if he decides he wants it.
