re: Do Recruits Read Message Boards?

I tried starting a thread on this topic, but it almost immediately got anchored. Must have rubbed the admins the wrong way. This is what I said:

Before making any assumptions about LSU fans and this site, please read in entirety. Please realize that there are no rules in place to prevent a rival school poster from signing up to this website and posing as an LSU fan. Also, there is no rule specifying an age limit for posting privleges. This site seems based on freedom of speech. It is a double edged sword. You will have some people who will be unrealistically positive and spin all for good, and you will have some who will be unrealistically negative and spin all for bad. There are also people on here who will post anything to get attention, and should not be taken seriously. That being said, there are a good portion of fair, level-headed, respectable posters who are actually true Tiger Fans. We often get very upset at some of the terrible comments made on this site, but that is its nature. There is a freedom here that is not given on many other boards. This is good for business, and site traffic, but sometimes leads to a skewed view of the true LSU fanbase. If you are considering attending our University as either a student, or a scholarship athlete of any sport, it would be wise to take what I am saying into consideration before you step foot onto campus. Every university has its share of negative fans, and bandwagoners. Every university has fans who have never even visited the university nor attended it. Please do not make your decision based on the words of some anonymous strangers. Make them with your family, in regards to what is best for your future, and with your heart. Lastly, on behalf of the true Tiger fans, we do not bash anyone who becomes a Tiger; we welcome you as family. We look out for and respect anyone who represents the Tiger fan base well.
