Back in 2003 after the season was over, the Colts' kicker Mike Vanderjagt said some negative things about Coach Dungy and the Colts. He basically said he didn't see the Colts getting any better since Dungy wasn't a fiery motivator and they needed a real motivating team leader.

In response, Manning said Vanderjagt had been drinking when he made the comments and that the kicker was an idiot.

I think what rubbed people the wrong way was some of the other stuff Manning said about whether or not Vanderjagt would be back next season. He was talking like he made personnel decisions. Well, we've seen that he makes personnel decisions for players and coaches and makes offensive and defensive calls too.

That incident seemed to be forgotten, just wondering if I was the only one that forgot that.
