Tiger20-I won't compare him to Torris Bright because Bright was not a true point guard just as Bo Spencer. I want compare Springer to D. Mitchell because Mitchell was not a true point guard. I"m comparing him to B. Voogd whom was recruited to play the point as is A. Springer. Now if Brady would have gotten Chris Duhon thats another story.

Duhon was recruited in the middle of the draconian sanctions and he had an opportunity to play at Duke. Wish we could have gotten him, but it is doubtful anyone could have overcome those barriers.
At the time Voogd was signed it is likely they saw him as a backup to Tack Minor and Garret Temple, with increasing contributions as he developed. Voogd was not as bad as many like to claim, but may not have ever been a starter.
There are so many good players that were brought into the program that I find it absurd that so much attention is placed on those recruits that did not become stars or even starters.
