More than 50 percent of the players on the Saints' roster have contracts that expire after the Super Bowl, according to NFL Players Association records

Not many teams will have a busier offseason, as the Saints are scheduled to have 18 restricted free agents and 11 unrestricted free agents.

The Saints, who also are expected to make other moves, can tender an offer to their restricted free agents that matches any offer sheet they might sign.

New Orleans' restricted free agents include running backs Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell, receivers Lance Moore and Courtney Roby, offensive tackles Jermon Bushrod and Jammal Brown, guard Jahri Evans, defensive tackles Anthony Hargrove and Remi Ayodele, and safety Roman Harper.

New Orleans unrestricted free agents include Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper, linebacker Scott Fujita

Thus might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between restricted and unrestricted??

Yep, the Saints will be one and done. They're going to just let all of those guys go, after spending years building up to get to this point. Since there will be no CBA, the Saints will not be able to sign any free agents from other teams. They'll probably just let everyone go and fold up the team. You moron.

Quite possibly. Super Bowl losers traditionally don't fare very well the following season.

Well of the unrestricted FA's Sharper and Fujita need to come back, but I would still like to see an upgrade at OLB whether it's Arnoux or someone else.

The RFA's, well lets see how many we even bother tending offers for and how many other teams even bother to get. Lance Moore had 80 catches and 10 TD's last year and still no one bit.

Only Jhari Evans is a must retain and maybe it's time the Saints give him a contract more in line with one of the best Guards in the NFL

Unless someone wants an unreasonable salary, all the core components will be back. Especially since the Saints wont be able to sign other free agents unless they're cut, I think the only guys they potentially lose are Grant, Bush and Sharper. And I think Bush and Sharper take less than full market value to stay with the team that is the best fit for them.
