Part of me thinks that the two fanbases may bond.

I was thinking the same thing...

is gonna look an awful lot like this:

Could you imagine the unholy union of these two fan bases if the right circumstances were ever to occur!?!

First of all Huggins is not a trashy coach.

Second..do not judge the WVU student body by a few.

Third, anyone from LA should not be picking on WV for crying out loud.

And fourth...based upon what my friend from Baton Rouge said...we will not be welcome this coming Fall...but we will get you back in Motown in 2011...bookmarket it..the couches wil be burning as we send you back to the bayou with your tail between your legs!

My brother went to WVU, I know all about that place...Its Athens GA with a twist...Same size town, bar district etc. just with hills and a different crowd...

The student body is 50% from out of state, it gets its rep b/c there are so many PA, MD, NJ and VA kids there that could not get into the big state schools and wanted to party...The WV students take a back seat in the social scene IMO and there is a weird mix of WV rednecks and "JerseyShore" type folks from PA, NY and NJ...

Ill be there and it will be great..

best way to put it, most of the out of state students are from areas with some of the worst NFL fans in the country so that is gona carry over

Been there as well. Not as an opposing fan though -- kind of an innocent by stander. Neat little town. Difference is the WV fans still have a huge chip on their shoulder. LSU fans, IMO, had a similar chip early in the Saban era. We never had really won big time nor consistently. WV fans absolutely hate the living shite out of whomever they are playing that day. LSU will give you a Tiger Bait but its pretty damn calm compared to about 10-15 years ago. I remember after the LSU - Fla game when we beat Spurrier actually feeling sorry for some Gator fans.

I went to Va. Tech when they beat us in 2004. You would have thought they won the damn Super Bowl and holy shite did they have some hatred in them the night before the game.

Morgantown trip will be rough. WV ain't gonna win big b/w now and then and if we actually do something to enhance our image as a program over the next couple years, then watch out. Remember them throwing trash cans at the Miami players about 15 years ago.

That is why Va. Tech won't play there anymore. Last time there were there, severfans were hit with batteries from the student section....the batteries weren't double A's either.

I was at that game...Marcus Vick flipping off the crowd and all...

Was in the uppers and two VT fans were just cheering after a TD...(VT won the game)...and no shite, some redneck Mountaineer fan threatened to throw them off the stands if they stood up a cheered again...He looked dead serious too...

I grew up about 70 miles from morgantown and went to several games back in the 80's. Ask some folks about the Pitt-WVU games. I cant wait for 2010 and 2011

VT brings the worse out of the fan base for the fact they are no different demographics wise but have an elitist feel about them now. The 2003 game was much worse

my experience is with West Viriginians, and they put the trash in white trash as a whole.

I got a couple 'eer fan friends. They're good peeps, every bit as crazy for their team as we are for ours. Should be fun.

I cannot wait to come down this year...

I think our fans will get along, and if not, im sure people will gripe about it...Although I had Auburn fans tell me this past season not to go to Baton Rouge...

We're always hospitable to them. They love their rolls of toilet paper and we provide port-o-lets for them.
