"Others include Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres, Troy Aikman, Jimmy Buffett and political strategist James Carville, a Louisiana native and recent transplant to New Orleans. He recently told The Washington Post that there is simply no other team to get behind.

"If you're not from Indianapolis and you're rooting against the Saints, there's something wrong with you," he said. "You're a flawed human being. There's only one reason to be against the Saints, and that's because everyone is for them and you want to be different. This country loves two things above everything else, and that's underdogs and comebacks. That's the whole story line here."

he was never bad, the only reason people don't like him is because he is a lefty. If he was a right winger with his same personality and the way he reps Louisiana he'd be king here.

Carville's awesome, regardless of political beliefs.

I wonder what in the hell he and is wife talk about. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they watch political shows.

Carville is the fricking man. I mean anyone who says they should blow up the rose bowl is a badass in my book.

I wholeheartedly disagree politically with him but goddammit I think if I saw carville I would give the man my last dollar if he needed it. The guy has a deep love for this state that is basically unrivaled in the public eye. I hate the mans politics but I respect and love the guy as a fellow Louisianian

The dude is a centrist Democrat. Those calling his politics 'crazy' or claiming to 'hate' his politics are way the frick out there...

Then again, American political discourse has become so polarized that it's no longer intelligent.

He's one of the few talking heads in the history of political television who ate crow when he was wrong, and did so with a good spirit about him.

Most everybody else just spins and twists their way out of things when they are proven wrong or make a bad prognostication.

Maybe they understand that just because people are have differing political beliefs they don't have to hate each other and throw verbal grenades at each other.

You can add Kurt Warner and Kevin Mawae to that list. Both came out supporting the Saints this week on NFL radio (Sirius). I was not suprised by Mawae being from La but Kurt was real supportive.
