The largest outdoor advertising company in the country happens to have it's headquarters in Baton Rouge. Lamar is just part of the makeup of the BR landscape.
It makes perfect sense that if a sign of that size were to go up, it would be from Lamar.

While I don't disagree with your points, CBS is the largest outdoor advertising company in the country.
