Re-read what I wrote. I said other teams NOT named Duke and uconn etc are able to achieve relative consistency without the massive swings in wins/losses that LSU had under Brady. That means that it is possible without the blue-blood pedigree that those teams maintain.

Which of those teams went throught the the three year period of draconian NCAA sanctions which ultimately impacted the program for five years? I don't care how you try to spin it that is a devestating obstacle to overcome.

How many of those programs truly have that consistent level of excellence. I bet if you examined it closely most programs wluld have a down year every three or four years. An example is Florida not even making the NCAA tournament for two seasons after back to back national championships. I am not arguing Florida did not have a longer sustained period of success, but they did not contend with NCAA sanctions either.

Even when Florida did make the NCAA tourney there were five straight years of being eliminated by much lower seeded teams in the first two rounds before they won teh titles.
