Re-read what I wrote. I said other teams NOT named Duke and uconn etc are able to achieve relative consistency without the massive swings in wins/losses that LSU had under Brady. That means that it is possible without the blue-blood pedigree that those teams maintain

Which of those teams went throught the the three year period of draconian NCAA sanctions which ultimately impacted the program for five years? I don't care how you try to spin it that is a devestating obstacle to overcome.

How many of those programs truly have that consistent level of excellence. I bet if you examined it closely most programs wluld have a down year every three or four years. An example is Florida not even making the NCAA tournament for two seasons after back to back national championships. I am not arguing Florida did not have a longer sustained period of success, but they did not contend with NCAA sanctions either.

Even when Florida did make the NCAA tourney there were five straight years of being eliminated by much lower seeded teams in the first two rounds before they won teh titles.

I answered your question, woman. If you are dense, I can repeat, no...

Are you this dense?

I couldn't find it in all the NEGATIGER nonsense. Still don't see it. But, if you are for Brady, why are you sticking your nose in the discussion as if you aren't?

Brady is NOT LSU's coach. So no, I am NOT for Brady. He is the coach at Arkansas State. LSU has a different coach, who is working with the players Brady left him. You are a simpleton, who reads what you want to read into every conversation.

You're an airhead. I went back, and all you said is that you never turned on Brady. That is open for interpretation. So, I ask you again, would Brady be our coach if it was your decision?

You are a simpleton Beatles. I realize this more and more with every post you make in support of the "legend" John Brady.

Your only problem is that I always consider the source.

If that's not turning on Brady, I don't know what is. I guess you call that a vote of confidence. By the way, that dying program had already assembled the next SEC Champions. Who is the simpleton, again? Typical airhead NEGATIGER !

It was, Simpleton. Brady was fine while he was here, his last year was pretty damn bad. I didn't support firing him, but in retrospect his time had come.

Brady isn't LSU's coach, NEGATIGER...

TJ is. I support TJ. YOU are not an LSU fan, you are a Brady fan. I do not support a coach who is no longer here.

Oh, you support TJ? When should we expect the "under TJ it (the program) is dying, pretty much on life support". LSU doesn't need NEGATIGER support!

If you don't know who bailed, then it doesn't matter. Besides, I'm not just talking about this year. Count up the SEC Freshmen of the Year and SEC Players of the Year that Brady had during his tenure. You think that was just going to stop?

j'mison morgan is not an all american type and was already looking for a way out of his LOI. tommy was already backing out, brandon mitchell was even looking into playing football. of those three, TMG is the only 'all american type.' i don't deny brady landed some studs, but for every stud, there was a shawnson johnson or a juemichael young. overall recruiting was hit or miss not counting collis' AAU players. but i give credit where its due and thank coach brady for everything he accomplished at LSU and wish him well at arkansas state.

First I have heard of Morgan and TMG backing out. Both seemed to like Butch Pierre. Morgan may have come in with a better attitude and been a productive player.

Anthony Randolph may have stayed for another season if Butch was still here.

Who knows how such a team would have performed with players, but it did not happen so give proper credit to Trent Johnson for what he did achieve last year.

once things started going south and brady was relieved of his duties, morgan's aau pimps started steering him towards ucla. i've heard this from more than one of my friends who are familiar with the hoops world up around DFW. ucla wasn't the only one trying to jump in. who knows what happens if butch stays, tommy had some other reasons, he just committed way too early IMO. morgan just hasn't turned out to be very good. i went to see him play when i was working a j ob in richardson, tx and i saw him get out rebounded and out worked on the low block by a 6'6 kid that couldnt have weighed more than 200 lbs. i think trent did the right thing letting him walk, LSU didn't need that shady aau posse hanging around.

also it seems randolph had kind of put himself in bad standings with some teammates according to those who were around the team at the time. apparently he may have been even more ready mentally to leave school than he was physically. lots of what ifs for last year's team just like in 2006. what if bass had returned. what if thornton had been able to enrole and play at lsu as a freshman that season. would have been something. im hoping this team can try and rail off some wins here at the end of the year. when butch took over that team two years ago they went on a spirited run towards the end of the season, hoping this team can find a way to win some. hope to see a couple of good crowds at the pmac this week.
