Some did leave early, or there would have been more. This is typical of NEGATIGERS . Always ignoring the accomplishments and focusing on what did not happen, and making wild speculation about what will happen. PATHETIC!! By the way, there were four POY under Brady in about 10 years. That's OUTSTANDING!!
Im still not sure why you have such an affinity for a slightly above average coach who was extremely inconsistant. Im guessing he's a relative or something. I think he was good to very good at getting most of his teams to play hard nosed defense. But his or his assistant coaches' play calling was horrible at best. Did we ever come out of a timeout and run a play that worked? (ok im exaggerating..but still)
So a guy who you consider a good to very good coach in a conference like the SEC (which really isnt a huge basketball conference) couldnt get a better gig than Arky ST? hmmmm...interesting.
And im not a negatiger...im a realisticTiger. I didnt like watching the vast majority of Brady's teams and i couldnt stand to watch the guy's antics on the sidelines.

Do we still have to hear about John Brady ? My God people, if the Powers of be in college basketball thought so highly of Brady, then why the hell is he coaching at Arkansas State ? I mean could have Alabama or USC or some relevant team lured him away from the great power of Arkansas St. John Brady is an arse wipe. If he was so great, North Carolina would have come calling before they hired Roy Williams. To think that Brady is on equal par with Williams, Billy Donavan of Fla, Rick Pitino of Louisville, or Bill Self of Kansas is being delusional and out of touch with reality. Trust me, if Brady was so great of a coach, the coaching fraternity would have found a better job for Brady than coaching the Sisters of the Poor league. Plus, I would rather have a coach here that has morals unlike Brady. Have a nice day.

Trent has done in 1 full recruiting season what Brady couldn't. Sign a quality POINT GUARD.
Is it that definitive that Stringer is a can't miss recruit?
Wasn't Tack ranked higher than recruiting services in his day than Stringer now.
I certainly hope he proves you all right. I'd love him to be that guy.
But he does seem to be a shoot first point guard which I always have concerns about. Fortson at Arkansas for example brings alot of the skills to the table that Stringer does, but he's such a loose cannon that for every good play he makes he throws in a turnover or wild shot.
This will be a good test to see how Trent can develop a point guard from day one. He has not handled Spencer well this year IMHO, but the circumstances are different.

It is no wonder you think Brady was not a good coach when you don't even know how many POY he produced. That shows you have blinders on where he is concerned. You must not watch the games this year because I have seen this team come out of a timeout with the game on the line and not run anything. I have seen this team do everything that Brady was crucified for. Yet, the NEGATIGERS talk about TJ like he has the record of John Wooden. I often wonder if the NEGATIGERS are Brady's ex-wife. Winning 3 SEC titles and going to the Final Four is not slightly above average. Nor is all the freshman POYs. and SEC POYs. Just go ask most of the other SEC teams. As for being at Ark St, Visor Boy is at football wasteland SC. Tubby is at basketball wasteland Minnesota, Fulmer can't even get a job. All MULTI-CHAMPIONS like Brady. Very POOR argument.

So if he is so consistantly good why is he at Arky St? I guess you are the only one who can see his true greatness...
Maybe you should become the AD at a decent basketball school so you can hire him and then win a ton of championships. Good luck with that.

Why are you making things up? I NEVER said he was consistent. You are the only one who brought up consistency. I explained to you why consistency is not likely if you recruit the type of players it takes to win titles. But, to again show your bias, our current coach will have finished at the bottom 50% of the time after this year. You conveniently put on the blinders where that's concerned.
P.S. If Visor Boy was so consistent, why is he at wasteland SC. Same with Tubby at Minn. Why can't Fulmer get a job. IGNORANT ARGUMENT!

First of all SC and Minn are in BIG TIME football/basketball conferences...trying to even remotely compare them to Arky St is laughable. I believe SC has an 85,000 seat stadium. And how many seats are in Williams Arena compared to whatever Arky St plays in? What are the average crowds? Spurrier also loves to play golf and there is no where better in the US to play golf.
As for Fulmer...maybe he isnt ready to get back in the saddle just yet...but I bet he can at least get a gig in a major conference.
Yours is the "ignorant" argument.

Again, you show your ignorance. Anybody who follows college sports knows that Fulmer is chomping at the bit to get an offer from a respectable school. None have been forthcoming. We're talking about a coach who had the highest winning percentage of active coaches for several years. Blows your argument sky high! As for Visor Boy and Tubby, you miss the point as usual. For two guys who won multiple conference titles and also National Titles, SC and Minn are HUGE come downs. Neither would be there if they had a choice.

In BRADYASSKISSER book, USC and Minn are on the level of Ark. State

Fulmer was 29-21 his last 4 years without a conference title in his last 10 years. Why does he deserve a big time gig? Im sure if he wanted one he could get a middle team in a major conference...but he's holding out. He could surely do alot better than Arky St.
And why did Tubby deserve more than a middle of the Big Ten pack job? Seems pretty good to me. You think he deserved a Kansas, UCLA, Florida, North Carolina etc gig? Tubby just wasnt that good. He won a National Champ his first year and then in the following 9 years only made it as far as the Elite 8 twice. That wont cut it at arguably the greatest college basketball school in the country. With the talent he had and the lack of competition in the SEC...he proved to be a bad hire. So Minnesota isnt that bad a gig...and certainly no Arky St.

Only an airhead NEGATIGER could read what I said and draw that conclusion. For Brady, LSU to ASU was not much different than Visor Boy from FL to SC, or Tubby from KY to Minn. FACT! Visor Boy was 6 time SEC Champ and NC to wasteland SC. Tubby was multiple SEC titles and NC to wasteland Minn. Brady only had 2 (really 3) SEC titles and no NC. Come downs were similar. DEAL WITH IT, NEGATIGERS !!

Why not???
LSU, UF , UK , Minn and USC are all big schools.
ASU is from the Sunbelt conf.
See the differences?,BRADYCOCKSUCKERS

Sorry to see you're into the alternative lifestyle. I know you're thick, but I'm not comparing the schools. I'm comparing the come downs. Try it this way, brainless. What has SC done with Visor Boy compared to FL? What has Minn done with Tubby compared to KY? They were NC at FL and KY. They are chumps at SC and Minn. HUUUUUUGE come downs. They are Bradys.

Beatle, Because that point guard is still in HIGH SCHOOL. Name me one quality point guard Brady recruited in 11 years. Same year he chose to give Ben Voogd a scholarship, Ryan Francis was sitting in his own backyard. Great judgement on Brady huh? As for Stringer, is he a better prospect than Tack Minor, anyone that followed AAU knew that Tack was a loose cannon. Brady rolled the dice. Brady never looked beyond the current year he was coaching. It is a fact, Marcus Thornton improved more in his one season under Trent than he did in his one season under Brady.

Well, since we're talking still in high school, Tommy-Mason Griffin. Also, break down this year's freshmen for me, if it is so easy to get great players. Also, break down the development of our point guard this year if you want to make outlandish development analyses.

tommy didnt even want to come to LSU anymore by the time brady got shitcanned. this is a fact.

Brady destroyed the program. He left TJ with nothing.
Posted on 1/31/10 at 4:09 pm to genuineLSUtiger
He left him with the SEC Champions! A couple of All-American types like Stro, Big Baby, Randolph, Thornton, Tyrus, etc.. could have us in the mix for another one this year. Unfortunately, you NEGATIGERS took away that possibility. WTGN - Way To Go NEGATIGERS

which all american types were going to be at LSU this year if brady was still here?
