LS went to Oregon because he likes to smoke tree, that's why every tightpant wearing hipster sayd "bruh, portlands so hetty". If that's considered part of the gameday atmosphere, UO>LSU, otherwise, its pretty close IMO

No more weed on the UO campus than any other. Not sure where this myth comes from. Eugene is weed friendly, but so are most college towns. Its no different in that respect.

Eugene is no more flaky than Madison or Boulder.

Game Day at LSU vs. Game Day at Oregon
You make the choice. No contest.

For years, it seemed to me that the pecking order of gameday atmosphere was LSU, then everyone else fighting for second. Bias? Maybe, maybe not, but LSU has slipped alot IMO the past few years. I would say that LSU had the misfortune of playing most of their home games the past 2 years under what seemed to be either rain or the threat of it, which dampened (no pun intended), the overall gameday experience. Baton Rouge seemed to have beautiful weather during LSU road games. That's out of our control. But my biggest gripe, and this to me is a huge deal, is that LSU has the greatest opportunity to take advantage and showcase what is by far the best "Game Day" backdrop combined with atmosphere by allowing ESPN to stage its setup at the PMAC ramp. That crap on the parade grounds in the mud is, well, "crap". It takes prime tailgating space. It forces the crowd away from TS. The crowd comes across as being small on tv, and puts LSU on par or below with eveyone else. I'm not really sure if it's LSU's or ESPN's decision to stage where they do, but LSU should do their part to put LSU in the best possible light and demand the old PMAC setup. Then, again, ESPN hates LSU and they will do their part to present LSU as 2nd tier, so we will continue to get th PG setup.
