Boy the events over the last few days have been instructive

The Les Miles LETS FIRE HIM folks. I see Mr Kiffein and he was the the 4th choice of USC.

We see today that TENN got denied by a 3 million a year contract by a asst Coach at Texas : and it appears the Coach of The Air Force Academy said no. MY GOD A COACH OF A SERVICE ACADEMY SAYING NO TO THE SEC

One thing that this has showed us. The Les Miles haters assure us that that we can get the best Coach to replace Miles. Yet in two major programs we have not seen that to be true.

But thats ok because the Les Miles haters will turn on the new Coach and because the nega tigers who do so many posts we will forget to call them on it.

Do you think timing has anything to do with it?

what do both of those schools have in common at the moment that would make candidates a tad scared off?

NCAA investigations
player arrests
etc

Hmm we shall see. It just shows to me that the perfect Coach in peoples minds will not coming running to LSU

People need to be careful what they with for. They open up the box and it does not happen to their plan. Of course no problem. We can't blame people that are behind screen names

SO I get the whole thing. Most people screaming for LES MILES heads will have no paper trail where we can hold them to the prior choices. Sort of like the same people that were yelling for Miles head for keeeping the handcuffs on Crowton will scream for MIles head for not firing Crowton. That is the great thing about the NET and sports. We can get away with that BS

This LECTURE from a man defending idiotic and utterly uncalled for statements by Pat Robertson about Haiti's tragedy. Why am I not surprised Bayou Rant.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I have not taken a position on that at all. I gave links to another view point for Discussion. I was not adovocating

LSU is a much better head coaching job than Tenn is. If Alleva ever realizes that we can be a better team with an actual competent coach, I think several legit coaches would line up for the job immediately, hopefully that time will come after yet another mediocre year

And this has to do with Les Miles how?

You know when you try to stretch too far, you can hurt yourself.

Bayourant, you are on target with this. I think our blood thirsty fan base doesn't always have perspective on the wide world of sports, and fail to realize that coaches don't always jump to so-called higher prestiege programs, and it is not easy to stay on top all the time. Ask Stoops, Richt, Les, Carroll, and , oh yeah, Mack Brown who was almost run from Austin if not for the brilliance of Vince Young.

Right you are. The haters know who they are, and I am sure they deal with their problem on a continuous basis. After all, you do not think their hateful agenda stops at Miles, do you? No, it reaches out to all those who come within their influence.

USC had to go to to the former Coach of TENN and he was I think their third or 4th choice.

Tenn got passed by the Coach at waiting at Texas( he passed on a three million deal) and the COACH AT AIRFORCE. I love Dooley at Louisiana Tech and think he is great. However with a losing season he was in final top three!!

God I love LSU but I recognize Baton Rouge is no the Paris of the South and some Coaches might not want to come to a State in its third decade of population loss.

Look at the Avatars here. More and more LSU fans are living in Texas and other places.

Just living in reality here

With our due respect since he was you third choice after getting refuse over two others I understand your viewpoint. I can understand SPIN and trying to make the best as to a horrible situation.

I am not downing TENN here. Just pointing a reality we are all in and Tenn just showed it glorious fashion.

Heaven help us that we not heed your tragic example

This doesn't just go for HC's. It goes for OC's and DC's as well. They are not exactly lined up at LSU's door waiting for a job. LSU was very lucky the timing allowed them to get Chavis, and there is no guarantee what they would be able to get if a new OC was hired.
