That said, coaching is relevant. It's just not everything.

As long as you can pull the hosses and 4 and 5 star players, coaching is just a small part of the business as Bobby Bowden and Lou Holtz have both said. You can't do that at 75 percent of the ACC schools.

I don't agree with that, even elite teams need both. There are plenty of teams who are very good who have excellent coaching with less quality talent.

Florida State beat Virginia Tech who is now in the ACC. If 2 ACC teams played, naturally one of them had to win

That Florida State was sick though, can't discount that win because the team they beat is now in the ACC.

99 FSU and 99 VT would arse rape the ACC now.

Miles isn't as good as Cutcliffe. Not as good as Grobe or Johnson either.

Miles might be the worst coach in the SEC, but it is true he'd probably be middle of the pack in the ACC.

as a COACH? maybe not

(he did smash johnson head to head)

as a recruiter/CEO? he can build a program in the ACC as long as he's not at duke or wake

Would he win the ACC at Wake? Grobe did.

Would he have Duke fighting for a bowl birth like Cutcliffe did this season?

and yes, I mean as a COACH. Sure, LSU beat GT, but what did Miles actually have to do with that? Was it his offensive or defensive gameplan?
