You hit the nail on the head. It's more than the nature of the beast. It's a generation of fans who started following the team in 2004 and now have unrealistic expectations for a National Championship each and every year. I want a title every year, but that's not happening. Now granted I am very ticked off about this year and I am not satisfied with 9 win seasons. But it has to be addressed that far too often there are people on this board who never are satisfied with LSU regardless of a W or L. I am blown away on the whining that takes place on this rant. Believe me I know LSU football may be in trouble, but still. Good post.

Wrong !

I have been a season ticket holder since '69...
most of you were not born...
yet SOME of you DO NOT WANT TO GET IT....
blind, dumb, stupid, I do not know.....

IT IS NOT about the Ws and Ls .....
IT IS ABOUT THE WAY in which the Ls are coming....
and even the Ws.

I certainly remember the years when I was glad to go 9-3 (even 8-4)....I did it because I recognized the level of ability, etc.... but even when we lost, we played HARD and usually SMART (with the talent we had)

We DO NOT PLAY "hard and smart" right now.
So NO, I am not satisfied.

Last night Michigan St. lost, yet I will guess that no one is bitching about the "L", because it is not about that.
They had lost "14" players from the team and played "hard".

That IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK...we are paying this coach almost $ 4 MM.

You hit the nail on the head. The players often play hard, but, do they ever play smart?

You like to watch a team that plays hard and smart for 4 Quarters. That's something that LSU football fans have not seen for a while.

I'm more dissapointed in the field conditions of the Cap 1 bowl than I am about the loss to Penn State. After the BCS bowls, the cap 1 bowl is the next highest paying bowl. I know both teams had to play on it and i'm not bitching about that, but more about a player getting seriously hurt on that field, wet or dry. In all of Fla, that was the BEST field and stadium they could find? They planted new sod 3 weeks before, and after a monsoon they could have used escavators to repair some of those divots. Week in and week out, we've seen how Miles has loss his memory on coaching, and has even gotten stubborn on alot of things, but what I'm more worried about is losing recruits by playing senority over BEST athlete. How can he go into a recruits home and explain his reasoning about how he will play his freshman yr only to sit the bench. How will this affect a recruit on visits when paired with other players? Will they disguise the problem or will they tell all?..time will tell I guess...
