Seriously I have played in much better cow pastures!! When we got to the game there was several inches of standing water on the turf! The bands then slogged thru the muddy crap and got it good and churned up! After teams warmed up and at half time a crew went out and replaced the displaced turf and stomped it! The LSU band was mashing down the turf at half time to find a place to stand and play!!!
It was not a football field at all, more like a pig sty. No excuse in the world with today's turf management to have a field in this shape for a major bowl game.

i think they decided to install an artificial field, unfortunately it took a shitty showing on national television to get it. playing 8 games their before the cap one bowl should have been enough for them to get it sooner. regardless of rain or not that field would have looked like shite, the rain just magnified it 100x. its a shame both teams had to play on it because we didn't get to see each team play to their full potential.
