re: Why don't top basketball players...

Let us forget the past. What can the average LSU fan do or request from the Athletic Administration to get this ship riding again in LSU basketball. This year is not over, I concede, but it does look like it will be a major rebuilding project to get on par with UNC, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Florida, Texas, and Texas. The honest question that I have is this. Does the adminstration, under Joe Alleva want to do everything possible to market the program under Trent Johnson ? I believe coach Johnson is the main reason why the potential is high, that a very successful program year in and year out can be built. I believe we have a good coach. Maybe the facilities can be updated or maybe Trent can add to his staff in some way to benefit recruiting. I know this isn't getting fixed overnight but I would like to see the true LSU fans, including myself, to show up for the home games this year. I would like for the program to excel, I just do not know if there is a desire to make it great instead of just good. I would welcome any suggestions how this program can one day be on par with UNC and Duke. And how we can be strong in the three major sports like Texas and Florida. Happy New Year to all.
