I really do appreciate this. It has taken me a while to "understand" the love of the fans and their school. My husband had to explain it to me, and I completely understand. I know there will be some negative things said about Lache's choice- understandable. Lache has made the best choice for him. He has never said one bad thing about LSU and still loves the school- he just felt this was the best move for him. Everyone knows that we are UT fans and I have made a number of friendships with a lot of you on this board and I respect you and your love for LSU.

I could not say anything last night, because this is Lache's time- not ours.

This may not mean much to you but, it is the truth and this is the only board that I look at or respond to.

Well, I appreciate the opportunity to represent a more positive and rational side of LSU. Each fan base has its share of irrational, band wagon, jerk type fans, and because of this I do my best to make everyone who seems to be a good person feel at home with LSU. Even if you do not cheer for us against your home team, in this case, its UT, then I hope to show you the good side of our program and people. We do, believe it or not, have the type of fans that welcome fans of visiting teams with good food and drinks, and just show them a good time.

Unfortunately, a good percentage of the fans that post here aren't that type, but please realize that this may also be a portion that never even attended LSU. Either way, some of us are happy for Lache, and thats why I posted this message to you and Born, and if you check the date you will see it was well before today, to show you that even when he didnt choose LSU, I still appreciate the kind things he said, and they way he has handled his recruitment.

Jen, nice to see you again. I hope you stay around on this board and give us updates on your son's progression in football, track and/or basketball. LSU can still have a chance to get a Temple Wildcat Seastrunk. Here's to the Seastrunk Family for letting Lache chose "The Ducks."

There shouldn't be. Even if LSU did seem like a good fit for a back with Lache's athleticism (to be clear, LSU would not have been a good fit), you can't blame a guy for going to a place like Oregon. He's going to have 4 or 5 awesome years there. Good luck to him.
