If you're so down on the Saints you can easily sell your Divisional playoff tickets for at least twice face value. Probably 4 to 5 times. And even more if we get the Cowboys.

not a bad idea, especially if they lay another egg against Carolina

That first place spot doesn't mean anything if they lose the first game of the playoffs. I am trying to point out that there's a pattern here with the performance of some of the other games.
First is great!!!! I love what the season has brought us and i want it to continue but some people are blind if they think this team is perfectly fine with no problems.

1) Close call against a crappy Washington team that should have won
2) Falcons-gave up over 300 yards to the second string QB and the 3 string RB was successful against the D-Line.
3)The recent TBay loss at home...TB has what, 2 or 3 wins and the Saints beat them 38-7 previously.
4) Dallas....Dallas is a shitty team. I don't care if they are in the playoffs or not, but they are as reliable as a Ford Pinto and they still racked up on the Saints.

5)Saint Louis...holy crap that game was painful to watch. No business a team that bad should be even in the same stadium with the Saints but that was almost a loss as well.

The close games to shitty teams shows weakness. I appreciate what they've done but the point is they've come so far I'm not ready to see them piss it away. The returning players on D will help, and hopefully correct this slide. But the offense has been looking very rusty when they should be clicking well in this stage of the season.

almost like all those games coincided with a bunch of injuries with players that should be healthy for playoffs.

This is the big question that people who are realistically following this are wondering. Yes whe have had a great season but trends over the past 4 weeks are scary. Hopefully health gets us back on track defesively because if it doesn't, a deep run into the playoffs is not likely. If you think we will win it all just because we are 13-2 at this point your mistaken. I think this team can turn it around but note they do need to turn it around. They are flawed right now and need to fix some things. If they do, they can make the run to Miami.

I think this is a very fair and true statement from a true fan.

PT banged up
Reggie banged up
Shockey banged up
Goodwin banged up
Stinchy banged up
Bell banged up
Wide Receivers playing about as bad as they have ever
Still have had opportunities to tie or win both of the losses.

This is the NFL. These guys are always banged up. It is when they are out that hurts which some on the list are. Bottom line, we need health.

This would be something that would go in the "need to fix" category. You can't play bad and win. Especially in the playoffs.

Very big + for our team. Even as poorly as our offense has been I still believe we always have a chance with Brees on the field.

Again, bottom line is get healthy and fix some issues. 13-2 guarantees the Saints nothing and they know it. It has been a great season thus far and it is not even close to being over. Hopefully getting some starters back on D and a re-focused offense helps. This team is too good to bow out early. It would crush me, and I'm sure the rest of the fans, to go down so quick after the season we have had but this team has got to re-focus.

Just my opinion, but the D wasn't the problem yesterday. They held an NFL team to 17 pts in regulation. The best scoring defense in the league averages 15.8 pts per game. This is right in line. If the offense converts a 3rd down in the 4th quarter...or goes for it on that 4th..you know, the punt that they guy jumped offsides and the dumb assess on the Oline don't jump...maybe the return isn't for a TD. Also, Tampa is putrid in the redzone. Both TDs came from outside. The D did its job. The O let us down. This is why I am still confident. The O will not continue to play bad. They will find their stride and will play well again starting with next week and then deep into the playoffs.

True and I guess at the end of the day this is all that matters but if you really watched the game you saw Tampa Bay moved the ball at will and when they faltered it was mostly due to their own mistakes. I thought our best showing was stopping Tampa on 4th and 1 (twice). That was awesome but other than that Tampa really had their way with our D. I think if your in the playoffs playing a better team we would have been down or tied at half. That is an assumption but in the past when we needed a stop our D either got the stop or better yet a turnover. We need to get back to that and I think by the playoffs we will.

True, but a couple of the bad passes were caused by pressure. Also, Porter makes a hell of a INT in the endzone. Poor throw, but Porter made the most of it.

With a few exceptions, this was really happening all year.

This is why the previous statement didn't hurt as much. But now, these aren't happening and its starting to hurt. But...the O has to be putting up more than 17 points...has to.
