The media and the NFL want him to be an elite QB so he'll keep getting the benefit of the doubt.

They could still do well with him, just rebuild the defense and the OL which is getting old.

He had a bad game against SD. That doesn't mean he sucks.

Look at his stats in the rest of the games. He consistently completes about 60% of his passes. He consistently passes for more than 100 yards. His TD-INT ratio before the SD game was 10-3. That's not bad. He certainly does not suck.
