Do you think your team would be a better fit in the ACC rather than the big ten? Would be nice to see regular matchups vs. Miami, VaTech and Boston College on a seasonal basis. Don't get me wrong, Ohio State is a nice game, but for the most part, PSU is a northeastern school and seems out of place in a traditional midwestern conference.

Penn State makes a lot more money by being in the Big Ten. The ACC couldn't match the money they make by being in the Big Ten.

I know there are many PSU fans that agree with this, especially those who live in the region, which is quite a few. We've also done exceptionally well recruiting in Maryland and Virginia over the years.
Personally, I love being in the Big Ten, but that may be because I live in Indiana now. However, as objective as I can be, I do think PSU and the Big Ten has been a good fit for everyone.
Some history for those who are interested. Joe Paterno tried to form an all sports eastern conference back in the 80s. It would have included Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, Boston College, West Virginia and I don't know who else. Possibly Miami, Temple, Maryland, Rutgers?
Pitt for sure, and maybe Syracuse voted it down, preferring to keep the Big East primarily a basketball conference. At the time, Penn State was in the Atlantic Ten for basketball only. It wasn't long after that that the Big Ten came calling.
As far as the Big Ten expanding, I'm for it, though Notre Dame is pretty much the only school that truly helps the conference, IMO.

It seems like West Virginia would be a nice addition too. Solid football and basketball programs.

The Big Ten is an academic conference first and an athletic conference second. Notre Dame doesn't fit the mold of a big state research university, but it does bring an excellent academic reputation to the table.
More importantly to us sports fans, WVU doesn't bring any TV markets to the dance. Notre Dame has a national following and would probably get the Big Ten Network on every cable in New York City. Each B10 school already gets more $ from the Big Ten Network than ND does from NBC. I think ND would sweeten the pot for all of us.
We've got to compete with ESPN's SEC lovefest somehow!

What ESPN SEC lovefest? Everyone knows they hate LSU.

Mizzou would be a good choice, as well, IMO. Those are the clear top two choices (ND and Mizzou).

They should have joined the Big East.

ND ain't coming, period. Time for the Big Ten to look seriously at Mizzou and Pitt IMO.
