December 22, 1979. Cholly Mac's final game as Tiger head coach, a 34-10 victory over Wake Forest in the Tangerine Bowl (later to become the Citrus Bowl and later the CapOne Bowl).
And I was there! I had moved to New Orleans for Grad School and went home for the holidays. My parents gave me tickets for Christmas and it was my very first Bowl game. It was a most awesome experience. I became a Tiger Fan for life that day!
