Below are two links and a photo.

The first is to a video of Brandon Short, former AA and NFL linebacker giving a speech at this year's senior banquet. You should watch it. Maybe then you'll have some idea of what the Grand Experiment is all about.

The second is a link to a well written article about Joe back when he turned down an offer to coach the Patriots in the early 70s. (His ownership stake would now be worth in the neighborhood of $75 million).

The picture is of the Paterno Library, part of the main Pattee Library on PSU's main campus. He and his wife Sue raised the money and donated over $3 million of their own money to make this happen.

While not all inclusive, this should at least give you some idea about who Joe Paterno is and what he has meant to Penn State and college football.

At the very least, now ignorance is no excuse.
