Obsessed?

Come on, its the biggest story going right now. Further, I follow golf very closely.

So yes it is interesting. Now, I'm saddened by the effect this will no doubt have on this family and certainly wish that it had not occurred. I'm further saddened by his irresponsible choices. But it has happened.

From a golf perspective, I personally don't want to see TW leave the tour. If for some reason he does not break Jack's records, I do not want it to be because he missed a year in his prime.

Look TW has won like 2 of the last 12 majors. There are plenty of other guys winning. However, those guys want to beat TW. He is the JN of his generation and they all want to beat him. That said, I've been guessing and still beleive that he misses the entire 2010 year.

Regardless of TW, golf will go on and will continue to gain strength. Never has there been so many talented young players.

Incorrect. Yes there are a lot of talented, young players, but when Tiger is in or near the lead of a tournament the TV ratings are twice as high as when he is not.

So yes, golf will go on but it will not gain strength without Tiger.

Advising him depends on what he really wants to do. If he truly wants to reconcile with Elin, he needs to do whatever it takes. Those of you who do not have kids cannot understand. Even if he is not 100% about reconciling, he is looking at the possibility of rarely getting to see his children. I would do just about anything to keep that from happening.
