People run down Les Miles for a few basic things:
-Tangled up/unintelligible phraseology. There's no way he has a broadcast career after coaching like Jimmy Johnson. However, this doesn't mean he isn't a great coach, as people say the public speaking fumbles are not the same in one-on-one.
-Game/Time management issues. He showed in the Arkansas game he can fix this. However, many marvel that it had to be fixed this far into his career. This is a legitimate concern.
If he corrects the offensive scheme and disfunction of this past season, and the team matures with experience and capability, then I think people will think that he is more like Johnson than Coker. However, another few episodes like Ole Miss, and they'll be issuing him a straightjacket and running him out of town on a rail.

Jimmy had 11 win seasons when you only played 11 games. The U played a pretty tough schedule back then. And if this is true, shouldn't Miles be leaving for the NFL about now?

... and he grows more hair, learns to speak in public, takes a program decimated by losses or NCAA regs and improves it, develops the ability to inspire a group of young men to step up every week, starts recruiting thugs, pigs fly, saints make superbowl, commits to an offensive philosophy, hell freezes over, and lsu fans stop leaving at halftime. Then and ONLY then will he be anything like good ol Jimmy

1-7 versus Arky, Ole Miss, Bama, and Florida the last 2 years. He has to prove from here on out he can beat Saban and Meyer (and even Nutt). He deserves next year to try. I am betting he can't do this, but time will tell. I could care less about his grammar or how he speaks.
