Oy vey. You're now fearing Greg McElroy.

Bama had Julio, Ingram and, um, "G-Mac" and sucked on offense most of the year.

How about rolling over to the sunny side of the bed where there is no Mt. Cody, no Rolando McClain and no Javier Arenas?

Just some inexperienced players and Robby Green.

Why specify west. If we win the west we win it all. East is weaker. I like our chances. Line will be better. Heck i think we should be better in all areas.

Yes, Ingram is returning. He's just a soph.

If Mallet stays at Arkansas:

1 Bama
2 Arkansas
3 LSU or Auburn
4 Auburn or LSU
5 State
6 Ole Miss (if Snead somehow gets to leave...they have nothing if he does)

If Mallet leaves, I think we can finish 2nd. We're just not going to be able to take Bama out if they return everyone and Ingram, Richardson, and Jones are all back...plus Nick always has a new frosh that contributes beyond belief.

I think 9-3 is very possible, but 8-4 is more of my thoughts with losses at home to Bama, UT and on the road @ Arkansas and Auburn.

Is Mcelroy still at Bama next year? Bama loses abunch of defensive players and if they lose their qb I like our chances more. If Arkansas finds a defense they will be scary. We can beat Florida next year and hopefully don't trip up against a lesser team. Bcs bowl is likely

The west is wide open...why not win the Sec. I like our chances ever year! But so is every teams chances! We have no edge. Its why the SEC is so great!! Miss ST has a good chance next year! And Spurrier may win the EAST! So keep the feet on the ground!

That's the best answer. One thing though, the SEC West might turn out to be the toughest conference division in the country next year. In Bama, LSU, Arky, Auburn and Ole Miss, you have 5 teams that could POTENTIALLY win 10 or more games in the regular season. The intensity and insanity of the 2010 SEC WEst season will not be for the faint hearted. Have your defibrillators ready.

With Les and Crowton there is no way, we wont win so many lucky arse games next year. We play up or down to the level of the team we are playing and get some real lucky breaks last year. anther 3 loss season in the sec and anther year Les keeps his job

I sure do like Arkansas being in the conversation, guys. However, to be honest, our defense will still likely be a cross between Swiss and Limburger cheese...holes everywhere and smells like shite.

We 'should' win 10 games; Petrino has done a good job and is a true hard-arse. I'm just afraid next year is our chance to be somebody (BCS) with Mallett and all our WR's/RB's having another year under their belt...and our defense still looking like Ned in the first reader.

LSU lock!

Seriously, though, I hope so, and I think we'll be right there in contention.

Agree. AL is losing a whole bunch of defensive starters. If they re-load w/o a blip and win the West again, THEN I think we see a trend and THEN need to start re-evaluating our coach.

Jman, who is the hottie in your posts? By the way, I think we have a real shot if we snag a transfer QB or if Garrett is ready. No way we win the West with Jefferson or Lee as the starter.

agree, the girl is smokin...
