Everything goes in spurts. Human nature is a funny thing. Watch the hunger Bama plays with after a national title. You saw it in 2004 with LSU. You saw it with Florida this year. You're just not quite as sharp. Complacency always finds a way to sink in.

Saban is a much better all around coach now and he actually delegates to his coaches better. I don't think he micromanages like he did when he was at LSU. LSU has a tough row to hoe in the West for the next few years.

Saban will create a Thousand Year Football Reich at Bama. All other SEC teams will wither away under the force of his mighty legions, and no SEC team will be able to compete with him for the next millennium. No other SEC team will be able to hire a coach to rival Saban or recruit players to rival his for the next 1,000 years. The earliest any other SEC team can possibly hope to even compete for an SEC championship is ... let's see ... 2111.

Tennis, anyone?

Consider that UF has been hard enough to conquer; now we have to deal with Alabama (again) every year.

Alabama has been undefeated in the regular season for 2 years in a row! So I think that qualifies as dominance.

Also consider that LSU was always a 7 - 8 win team (or less) for a LONG time! It's just recent that LSU has been dominating. Now the last 2 years, 0-4 against UF and Alabama.

This is a critical time. LSU turned a corner into an elite program: winning the big games and receiving top recruits from TX and LA. Right now, the winning mentality has to be preserved. It's absolutely KEY that changes are made to dramatically improve the offense next season and continue the winning ways.

He didn't do so at LSU. Why is that?

Uh - think what you must to feel better about it but Saban brought LSU 2 National Championships. Miles just happened to be in the right place to get his picture taken with Saban's Crystal the 2nd time.
