games for wii

my christmas present is going to be a wii from the little lady and i'm just wondering which games should i get. I already have a ps3 and i play all of the sports games and call of duty. I was looking into the wii resort game and the punch out. also she was looking at workout games like "the active" or something like that, basically she wants some workout games. so if any of you can give me some suggestions on which games to get would be much appreciated.

How active do you want to be, when it comes to exercise? Just a little here and there or do you want full work-out routines. If I little here and there, Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, might be up your alley. Otherwise the EA sports active is good.
Honestly, I've made it a point not to pick up Wii games unless they use Wii Motion well or are Nintendo exclusives.
I always recommend Tiger 10 if you like golf.
If you like any of the Nintendo Classics (Mario, Zelda, etc.) their Wii iterations are pretty good. Trauma Center if you like surgery (it's fun).

Jk. It is hard to go wrong with first party license games from nintendo.
