Because we recruit Texas harder than Alabama? We fight them for just as many recruits, so we might as well pull for the SEC team.

3. I root for the SEC. They are our brethren. They know what it's like having to play Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, South Carolina, etc.. week in and week out. We don't have the luxury of playing that weak arse shite yall play in the Big XII. When we get to the National Championship, we have EARNED it.
4. We recruit the state of Texas extremely hard. How would Texas winning a National Championship help our recruiting? We probably wouldn't get the R. Shepards, Tolivers, etc if yall won.

If Texas wins tonight, they're not gonna know what hit them come January. They're gonna get embarrassed. That said, I'm not PULLING for either one of them. I don't like Texas, and I don't like Bama. LSU winning a championship is the only one that does LSU any good.

the reason why i pull for SEC teams in the title games is simple. the more times an SEC team wins the bcs, the better the SEC reputation is. the better the reputation, the better the chances that LSU is ranked higher than other non-SEC schools with similar record. the higher the ranking, the better the the bcs ranking...take 2007 for instance. multiple 2 loss teams competing for 1 spot vs ohio state. LSU got the nod and the title
