In college football, without a playoff, the win-loss record only tells part of the story. The way in which a team wins and loses is as important. For example, bama and texas had the same record this season but have flip-flopped in the all-important rankings several times because of the quality of their wins ans loses. Cincinnatti and tcu will never get a shot at the NC because thet didn't have as many big wins as the other teams.
With that as the background, Les has had unimpressive wins and coached us to a loss. The fact that fans are unhappy with him this year does not make them negative, it demonstrates that they understand college football.
Also referring to this year as an up-year in the sec and noting that lsu was 9-3 does not tell the story. Les coached us to a 5 and 3 sec record with two victories angaint 6-5 teams and one over vanderbilt. Not impressive.
In conclusion, Lsu's record this season does not tell the story of this season. It is like looking at a pitcher's win/loss record instead of his era. Fans are not negative for their disapointment in les.

Amen, brother. LSU's 2009 SOS is 52nd overall, with opposition's winning percentage of 51.7%, based upon aggregate records of 61-57. Remove UF and Bama's 24 W's from this and what do you have? A very unimpressive win list, that's what.
