I just got back from their game vs. Hahnville tonight...Rummels Defense is the BEST in the state of Louisiana. Besides 1 or 2 big gains, they effectively shut down Alfred Blue, a possible LSU recruit. I think we need to start looking at some of those Rummel defenders, even though their not getting a whole lot of looks. These guys have been phenominal all season and they got some heart even though they're not the biggest

Phillip Helmstetter - 6'1 224 LB
Chris Randle - 5'11 193 LB
Myles O'Brien - 6'2 200 DE

Yes, Rummel won 24-7 over Hahnville. I believe they play Westgate next week

You want LSU to recruit a 193 lb. linebacker and a 200 lb. defensive end? Yeah....

Obviously they wont be that weight by Opening Day 2010. Give them an actual summer weight and conditioning program and they will be ripped up. Plus their only 17/18 yrs old...kids do grow

So you've seen West Monroe, Evangel, Curtis, and Notre Dame play live this year as well or are you just throwing that out there without actually watching the other top defenses in the state?

LE, have you seen Notre Dame play? I keep hearing their defense is lights out and should carry them to a title.

Out of those other Teams onl west Monroe plays in 5A and Evangel plays in 1A i think. If Notre Dame's Defense is carrying them to a title Rummel's is dragging them to one. Hahnville's Touchdown also came off a fumble recovery for a td. Chris Randle has all the ability in the world, if he was an inch taller and 10 pounds heavier he would be a big time recruit.
