When we go 6-6 or 7-5 for the next few years

at what point does it become advantagious to fire Miles? This is a serious question. (It is a far gone conclusion this is a program in decline so no need to argue this point) The only question I have is related to the penalty for firing him. What is the tipping point? When does it become more detrimental to keep him (because of lost revenue) than to fire him? Maybe 4 years from now? If not when?

Hey, I am firmly in Coach Miles corner, but 6-6 or 7-5 next year and it is time to change

My question to you is how are you going to feel if they go 11-1 next year? Do you want to fire him then? Will he change your mind about if he's a good coach or not?

First off, I think you mean "foregone" conclusion, and the rest is just fricking stupid. Defeatist much? I wonder how some of you even get out of bed in the morning.

Say what?? If we don't get 10 wins this year, he's likely gone after a 7-5 record in 2010.

really what are you going to do if LSU wins the next two games and finishes the season 9-3? you ought to go jump off a bridge if that happens

While one can argue that the program is in decline, I think 2008 and 2009 will go down as a rebuilding years. Everyone was expecting a 10-2 or 9-3 season at best, and that very well could be what we end up with.
With a new QB and poor play from both the o-line and d-line, we shouldn't have had a legit shot at winning the West. I do not want to fall into mediocrity, but I also see that there is talent on this team that will perform well next year I believe, especially if we can get some better offensive coaches in place.

Each minute that passes makes it worse. The best time to fire him is now. Well, actually it was last year, but the best time POSSIBLE is now.

It would be more serious if you grounded the question in something besides rhetoric. You don't know for certain what this team's record will be, whether better, worse, or the same as you mentioned.

Then we are still doing no worse than Jimbo Fisher these days. Or Rich Rodriguez either. Or Tommy Tuberville, who is 0-0.
