ESPN's Feldman and McShay blasting Miles...

This was on the ESPN Insider Rumor Central, so I thought I'd post it for those who don't have insider.
WOW
It seems like the media has just been itching for Miles to make a mistake so they could unleash criticism on him, and now that they got their wish they are coming out of the woodworks.

Miles could be worst coach ever to win national title
"I like LSU coach Les Miles and love how he is an emotional shoot-from-the-hip guy. But after the way his team had some epic clock-management issues Saturday, I suspect in the next few days -- and maybe weeks -- you'll hear a lot of people talk about how he might go down as one of the worst coaches ever to win a national title."

Todd McShay
Miles hung Jefferson out to dry
"Coach Les Miles indicated after the game that he was unsure who directed Jefferson to spike the ball, but video of the LSU sideline shows Miles gesturing for a spike and then looking for the field goal unit. There was clearly no plan for the scenario and Jefferson was hung out to dry. Costing your team a chance to win with poor clock management is bad. Allowing your 19-year-old quarterback to sink with the ship while you bail out is even worse."

They are just like alot of us. OK with Miles when he wins games, recruits well, runs a good program. The Ole Miss game highlighted many of the issues that I have overlooked for 5 years. That oversight has come to an end.

Definitely. The media sits at home in front of the fire place, wearing a monacle, and twisting their mustaches....just waiting for a chance to pounce on the LSU head coach.
Or maybe, Miles just had one of the most colossal televised frick ups in recent memory, and in this day and age of 24 hour sports news coming at you from every direction, they needed something to fill up the air time.

Well, LSU is a nationally recognized program and will get lots of national media attention. I was just pointing out that it seems the media, much like many of us (the fans), have given Miles a free pass based on his resume and national title while knowing all along that his coaching abilities were shaky at best. Now that it was exposed on national television, media outlets are using it as a source to validate their preconceived notions of coaching ineptitude from Miles.
No need for your douchebaggery, sir.

Um.... we're all doing the same thing. And I don't believe most of us were "itching for Miles to make a mistake" so we could "unleash criticism".
He's been doing this for years and he's gotten away with it by a) luck b) talent. It finally caught up to him... and we and the press are calling him on it.
Would you rather they and us ignore it? Cuz that ain't gonna happen.
