The only pass that would be acceptable would be a screen. Any incomplete pass stops the clock, essentially giving Ole Miss a free time out. Better to make them burn it and not have it on their final drive than for them to have one timeout remaining.

Besides, with them blitzing the hell out of JJ, they should have called a screen anyway.

As they did two plays prior. Mind-boggling. And after two years in the program Jefferson still doesn't know how to check out of a play.
