NCAA rulebook only says this:

quote:

To curtail a possible time-gaining advantage by feigning injuries, attention is directed to the strongly worded statement in The Football Code concerning the feigning of any injury.

I've not found The Football Code and aforementioned "strongly worded statement".

The rule book also says it's a delay of game penalty if a player is not wearing required equipment and the team has no timeout to be charged (charging a timeout is the default way of dealing with it). So maybe Jefferson just rips his helmet off and walks up to take the snap?

This is all just fun theorizing, of course. Not knowing a trick to pull to stop the clock in that situation was hardly the big issue here.

Seriously, if JJ doesn't get sacked on that last drive, we're inside Jasper's range.

The four plays of that drive should have been: Run. Run. Run. Kick.

I figured they were hurt the whole game. I mean they were always laying flat on their back.
