More I've thought about it. I'm fine with losing to the likes of UF and Bama, as long as we are competitive (like this year). However I'm not fine with squeaking by shitty teams. I don't think you'd hear nearly as much anti-Miles rhetoric this year if we'd dominated the teams we should have...fact is, we haven't dominated anyone. Some of these games shouldn't have even been close much less in doubt as to who would win.

+1
LSU loses close to elite teams and squeaks by inferior teams. I dont know what this means about the team, but I do think the talent is underutilized.

I would say we dominated Auburn, Tulane, & ULL.

Alot of the inconsistencies this year are due to the development of Jefferson and the spotty O-Line play. With a more consistent QB and offense, I feel pretty confident that we blow out Georgia, State, and Vandy, and maybe beat Florida and/or Bama.

The Washington game would be about the same, since the offense was decent but Locker shredded our D.

We were competitive with Bama, not so much Florida. I don't think we got the ball past midfield in the second half against Florida. It's just that we have had a weak schedule so far and are lacking in quality wins. We have beaten two teams who are above .500. If we can beat Ole Miss and Arky, I'll feel much better about things. If we don't win those games, I feel like our program is definitely trending downwards.

I agree, but we can't lose to the top 2 teams every year. That makes us a permanent #3 SEC team. That's not good enough for me.

I see the SEC as a conference where there are 3-4 teams in the mix every year. As long as we're one of those 3-4 and come out on top in the division and the conference with some regularity, I'm ok.

When a team wins the SEC, they're going to have a great shot at being in the BCS title game.
