I don't agree. With our talent and what we put into the program, consistent 5-3 records would get a firing.
LSU needs to compete for the West every year and has to win it every 2-3 years. Then they need to go about 50-50 in the title game. That's the standard in my opinion.

More I've thought about it. I'm fine with losing to the likes of UF and Bama, as long as we are competitive (like this year). However I'm not fine with squeaking by shitty teams. I don't think you'd hear nearly as much anti-Miles rhetoric this year if we'd dominated the teams we should have...fact is, we haven't dominated anyone. Some of these games shouldn't have even been close much less in doubt as to who would win.
