Sam Bradford is an idiot and i am tired of sports analyst asking, "don't you feel sorry for sam bradford?" If you are a top five pick in the nfl draft, you leave school early!!! And don't give me the argument that he could still come back next year...that would be his second year of making 6 or 7 million... didn't leinart's **** arse show how dumb of an idea is so stay when you are going to be drafted that high? He lost at least 25 million from that....

No he did not. They do not get paid $25M/per year. He just got his money a year later.
Leinart was the 10th pick (Had the Saints not signed Drew Brees, or the Texans taken Vince Young he goes in the top 3) He signed a 6 year $51M contract and got $14M in guaranteed money.

The year before Alex Smith, the #1 pick got signed a 6 year $49.5 M and got $24M guaranteed.
That's a difference of $10M in guaranteed $, but that doesn't necessarily mean ML will earn $10 less.

Neither of them has played well and are both likely to be cut/have the contracts redone at much lower numbers. This will happen to Smith sooner since he came out a year earlier.
Leinart also had elbow surgery after the 2004 season. How that would have affected his draft stock we will never know. At worst he delayed his earnings a year and maybe went lower, though after the season he was projected as top 3.
Delayed income does not = lost income.
