Execution and play-calling improvement is what I got out of it - his reflections on the penalties that pushed us to 2nd-3rd & Long situations, thus forcing obvious pass plays.

I buy some of that, but still contend that this schitzo offensive scheme doesn't work. I'm pleased to hear that we may try to simplify things, not abandon the run game, and perhaps go back to an I-formation and 2-TE sets to protect the QB, run more play-action passing - anything but this "contorted Spread offense".

Yes, and almost every analyst has mentioned this. Is LSU a pro style or I formation or spread team? No one knows because they haven't established an "identity". And for a spread team, why is LSU signing FB after FB. Allen last year...the guy committed from GA this year...and trying to move TEs signed to FB also. Exactly why does a team that is trying to run the spread need to sign and move umteen guys to FB?
