It seems like everyone is forgetting/exaggerating/making up statistics about both Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson.

One of the main points that everyone is making that is annoying the shite out of me about Jarrett Lee is how well the offense "rolled" with him as the QB. Against BCS opponents Jarrett Lee only led the Tigers to 30+ points 2 times in 7 games, while Jordan Jefferson has lead them to 30+ points 4 times in 7 games, also against BCS opponents. We've scored 20+ against BCS opponents 6 out of 7 times under Jefferson and the only case in which we didn't was against the best defense in the entire country with 4 possible first rounders as their DB's and a top five as their MLB, with the rest of the defense being likely draft picks in the next 3 years.

Another fact is that Jarrett Lee wasn't "airing it out" like everyone wants Jefferson to do. 4 out of 8 of Lee's touchdown passes in SEC play last year were of 10 yards or less. How can you claim that Lee's arm is so superior if he's throwing 10 yarders half the time?

Everyone is also on and on about how Lee was "just a freshman" and how "it will come with maturity". Are we forgetting that Lee STILL threw plenty of interceptions this offseason? Obviously he hasn't come that far along. Right now Jefferson is the same age that Lee was last year and is still a young kid, Lee on the other hand is the age of a junior making the same mistakes a freshman would make.

It looks like everyone is all of a sudden trying to make themselves feel better and more confident that the offense will be saved by Jarrett Lee by seeing his terrible year last year through rose colored glasses and hoping that he'll come in mature and strong, and I hate to say it, but if the coaching staff felt he could he would've had a chance by now.

QB are an important part of the TEAM. It would really help if the Offensive Line would give him better protection and more time to execute the plays. It doesn't matter which QB is in there they need protections.
