quote:

1. Jefferson is starting to throw interceptions more.
2. Lee only started throwing interceptions with regularity around the mid-point of last season, which is exactly where we are now. Not trying to say Jefferson will follow suit, but don't think he is immune from throwing interceptions either.

Good fortune or lack thereof is usually relevant when comparing sports statistics. Last year it seemed like any possible interception was held onto by LSU's opponents. Recall 5 or 6 that were tipped passes also. This year just the opposite has been true. Well more than half of the possible interceptions have been dropped by Tiger opponents. And of course we'll take that any time we get it. The point is , with last year's poor fortune, JJ would already have 6 or 7 int's with several throws per game fewer than JL had to make. (I recall at least 4 times this year where I sighed in relief at a failed int.) Let's hope the good fortune this year continues but also that yards per completion goes up drastically the second half.

IMHO...
If you have ONE "GREAT" QB, you ride it.
but if you do not, and we do not yet...

then a 2 QB system can work.

as I said before ...they should not alternate,
but they should both play as the situation demands...and their performance dictates

they each do some things well and others NOT as well....

One major factor is that it ads preparation time and guess work to an opponent. They have to then prepare for 2 different QBs.

LSU has used a 2 QB system many times over the years and effectively.....that does not mean equal distribution of time....but coaches should not wait to bring someone in when the "PLAY" will become obvious.
