Which cities do that? I only do Mardi Gras in New Orleans and have never heard of that.

I have no doubt in my mind that LSU has already looked into finding more ways to get money from the fans. No Doubt what so ever.

I'm going to say this again, but it's a fine line. First, no group should feel entitled to a given spot on any given day and it's a dick move to move people's stuff if they are making an honest effort to get out there and put the time in on Friday to put up a frame. However, what is the reasonable cut off for saving spots with tent frames?
It's also a dick move to set up a frame and not show up till 2 PM. I get people not being able to be out there at 7, 8, or 9 AM considering most people work in the week, some have kids, and sometimes have to get shite done before tailgating, but anything past noon is taking rudeness it in the other direction.
I'm sure LSU has looked into dividing up every square inch of campus if they could pull it off. The administering and enforcing of those kinds of regulations are probably just too cost prohibitive to implement.

WRONG. If he puts his frame (not even the top and not even up all the way) in a spot on Friday and leaves and doesn't come back until 11 the next day - the F'CK him. If he had been there at 7, I would have had no problem. But, you don't come put out a frame on Friday and think that you've "saved" a spot.

Last year, some goofball put up a tent frame right where we've been tailgating for over 12 years. We got there at 7:00 the next morning and just move the frame to the side. When the guy showed up at 11:00 he was all pissed off. I think he really thought that he was "saving" that spot by putting up his frame the day before

me and a couple of friends are gonna set up at the parade ground friday and camp out so we dont have to drive back early sat morning. is that allowed? will we get jumped by some campus cops in the middle of the night?

some areas in new orleans have spots reserved for certain groups. shreveport does it and it has been very successful. the income is used to offset cleanup

I am very worried about not getting my spot on the parade grounds this Saturday. I will be setting my tents up on noon Friday. I usually get their on Saturday morning around 7 am, but I think it will be 6 am this Saturday. I have had my spot for 9 years. The first game this year somebody set up their tent before me in my spot. They didn't show up until around 6 pm and just took the tent down. We were using their tent as a garage.
