Likely a compromise in some form, but there's no way Crabtree got the upper hand.

The Niners front office had every possible ounce of leverage. It was Crabtree and Parker who initiated the talks and went cross-country (without the Niners knowing initially). It's pretty much a given that the Niners had the upper hand. He was the only thing holding negotiations back.

The Niners would have no reason to cave. They are 3-1 and are favorites to win the division. Caving to Crabtree would give future Niner picks extra leverage. The FO recognized that to start. Crabtree was never going to win these negotiations, that's why it's a given that he caved.

Lets hope he doesn't disrupt the chemistry this team now has.
