I wouldn't play him. Florida can drop this game and still easily Make SEC/National Championship games.
I'm saying this as someone who wants him to play against LSU, because if he doesn't it is a lose/lose situation for LSU.

I'll lose all respect for Urban Meyer if he lets Tebow play. I think he needs to step in and protect this kid whose done so much for their program.

Meyer banks on your respect.

I would like to play against Tebow also. But I don't think that its a lose/lose scenario. Is beating a Tebowless Florida team less of a win than say Alabama beating Kentucky last weekend?

Is this just in from the Department of Redundancy Departments?

Tebow's injury is very serious, regardless of what the final decision is by the Florida medical staff and Meyer. You cannot tell me he should be cleared to play within two weeks after suffering a concussion as serious as his.
If Tebow plays against LSU and suffers another hit like he did against KY, then he is potentially risking his football career.
Does the Florida medical staff and Urban Meyer want to run the risk of having to answer for that?

Sure are a lot of DR's on this board today...

Seriously? Without Tebow you think Florida is about like beating UK?

Not a doctor, but a guy who played and suffered a concussion. And, as a result, have a greater appreciation and concern for the health of your star player than you as a Florida fan do.
If you think Tebow playing against LSU has no risk, then maybe you should put on a helmet and shoulder pads and take his place.

I always though of Tebow as pearls before swine and the uf fanbase has proven me correct.
I want LSU to win for all the right reasons, regardless of who their qb is. I would not want my child playing 2 weeks after head trauma like that, much less against a hard-hitting defense.
Let's face it, there will be players hitting him high and hitting him low (don't tell me that when an opponent is wearing a knee brace, the uf players only cut-block towards the good leg!)
Hope this kid gets well and suffers no long-term problems.
If we are to play uf with a healthy Tebow, let's hope we get the chance to do it in Atlanta.
Above all, Tebow, get well.

Florida (like Flynn out in the SEC Championship Game)has had a 1,2,3 recruting clss for the last 5 years plus. They have GREAT athletes and Brantly is good. It will be a great game.

bullshite, that's why teams have back up players, and try to establish depth, because injuries are part of the game and your back ups should be almost as good, if not just as good, as the starter to still give you a chance to win. from what I've read, brantley is pretty good.

Certainly the SEC EAST is not at stake. NC game is ify. NOT MUCH ON THEM THAN IT IS ON LSU. IF ALL THE HYPE TELLS THEM THEY HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR WITH THE BACKUP : THEN THEY ARE PLAYING THE ODDS.

That's right, and that's why it's a team sport. You beat the team, not just the individual athlete.
If you've got a healthy Tebow, but a crappy O-Line and subpar skill players, you don't have a Florida National Chamipion.

And he better listen...if Tebow plays and something bad happens to him then Meyers can kiss his career goodby.
