I don't know that Richt should be fired, he's got an incredible record at UGA though he hasn't taken them to a bcs championship game, he's come very close in 2002 and again in 2007 when they were ranked higher than us but we got the go ahead (which we should have) because we won the SEC. He's also lost a lot to Florida which hurts his reputation somewhat. I think he needs better coordinators. UGA fans have been calling for the dismissal of Martinez on defense for some time now. With all of that said, we should've hung a lot more points on them than we did. Our play calling got atrocious especially with those stupid runs up the middle that got NOTHING!!! again and again! What the hell is Crowton thinking sometimes?!! Truly baffling! If the o-line can't handle the middle and at least get a push for a yard gain (no matter how many they have in the box), then we need to run some misdirection stuff to gain those critical yards. But we go up the middle over and over again like it's going to miraculously work when nothing has changed. That's just poor decision making to me on Crowton's part. Work with what you have; adjust to your weaknesses and make the most out of them. You look at teams like a Boise State who know they don't have the athletic ability to play up front, smash mouth football. I will grant you that most often they are going to get taken to the woodshed buy an athletic, hard hitting team but what they do well is to design plays that WORK using what abilities they do have while recognizing their weaknesses. That's exactly how they beat Oregon in the opener and Oklahoma a few years ago in the Fiesta. Crowton's got to own up to the weaknesses in our o-line and work with it. I think that's exactly what Malzahn has done at Auburn and Crowton needs to get it together!! With all of the offensive weapons we have, we should still be scoring a ton of points even if the o-line isn't what we all hoped it would be.

Why were they convinced that the #18 team would beat the #4 team going into the game?

Here's a link to the actual play-by-play. Please enlighten me on where exactly all those stupid runs up the middle that gain NOTHING are. There were more sacks for negative yards than there were designed rushes for zero or negative yards. We took 3 straight sacks for minus 18 yards to start the 3rd quarter. Do you think we would have lost 18 yards on 3 rushes up the gut?

People like to criticize the play calling when it doesn't work, but fail to give credit when it does. The fact of the matter is that we ran the ball well in this game. Take sacks out of the equation, and we ran for 190 yards on the road against a tough SEC team. More often than not, that's going to get it done.

I thought, for the most part, the play calling in this game was pretty good. There were some things situationally that I would have changed, but I bet the coaches feel the same way as well. Obviously we need to do a better job in the red zone to finish off drives. But I'm not sure if that's as much play calling as it is executing and making smart decisions with the ball.

Was Scott's run a stupid run up the middle?

HOLY HELL...sillier words never typed on the rant.

Triple reverse on fourth and one with 10 in the box. Yeah, that will work.

shite, there would be LBs taking the handoff. Christ....is there any football sense left on this board.
