I haven't read the article so maybe I'm misunderstanding here.

But you say Crowton wanted to throw a pass, then you say he wanted to play for a 50 yard FG???

Wouldn't passing mean he's trying to NOT play for the FG, and running Scott on 2nd down mean he is playing for the FG???
