I'm making a gumbo tomorrow for the game and was hoping to mix it up a little by using smoked chicken. Anybody know where I can find one in BR? I heard Ralph's in Gonzales has them, but what about Ralph's on Jones Creek in BR? Any other places?

Good luck with the smoked chickens form Ralph's Market on Jones Creek...I quit buying their smoked chickens because at least 1/2 of the ones I purchased tasted horrible.

Ralph's deli is possibly the most overrated food place, except for breakfast in Baton Rouge.

Ralph's on Hwy 44 ... the absolute best smoked chicken in town. And it is better than the one on Jones Creek Road.

I thought they all came from same place, and than transported to the different Ralph's...Maybe not.

Skillet, you may be right, but I am telling you, the smoked chicken (I buy the plate lunch, not the whole smoked chicken, so we may be talking about different things here) is 100 x better at the Highway 44 location than the Jones Creek location.
