I want to teach at lsu... All my professors said that if I get my PhD at UGA I will have a very high chance of getting hired at LSU... So not really.

UGA has a top graduate in Finance program. It was either that or Florida. I decided i couldn't do Florida for the reasons you speak of.

Try to find some players and coaches, like go scope out the team hotel and report back to us and let us know if they look focused, uptight or loose, etc.

Is Harry Bissett's as good as some UGA fans claim?

I am flying in tomorrow and contemplating having dinner there.

What is the wait time like? I presume hours.

Also, is there a particular part of Athens where people go out? Some central downtown area? Or it is more diffuse?

Athens has a pedestrian friendly downtown filled with resturants, bars, coffeshops, and people. It's directly accross the street (Broad Street) from the UGA Arch. Where are you staying?

What kind of bar scene are you looking for? I can recommend some places you might like. And the downtown scene is directly across the street from north campus. It's 4 boundary streets for the most part are broad on the south, lumpkin on the west, washington to the north, and thomas on the east. All your bars will be in that little square. There's about 40+ bars in that area.

First of all, thanks for the information.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn. I have no idea where that is. (I didn't make the lodging arrangements and this is my first trip to Athens.)

Our group consists of four guys looking for any bar featuring a boisterous, slightly older crowd. And by slightly older, I just mean 25-30. Obviously, attractive, abundant females would be beneficial for the single members of our crew, but from what I have heard, Athens has no shortage of those.

Thanks again.
