The idea would only make sense if there was a playoff system that only admitted the conference champions...and this idea will never happen because it is too radical. I just think it is a shame that we play some cupcakes more than we play teams in our own conference.

The problem I see with it would be that more times than not the SEC Champion would be 10-3 and be beat up for the bowl season.

exactly...kinda like the flat tax idea. it makes too much sense.

What I would like to see is a truely fair system. Where everyone rotated on and off the current 8 game schedule. No permanent opponents everyone plays each other on a rotation.

Wouldn't make much sense then either. Congratulations on surviving one of the most brutal regular seasons in CFB history and winning the SEC. Now go beat Texas, USC, and Ohio State in consecutive weeks to win the NC.
