What happens when, . . .

current LSU players take a cue from the fans and give up by half-time or by mid-season? And what do you think the effect of the constant bashing in spite of victories will be when it's not enough to win, but win with a flare and style, game in and game out that is unrealistic and unattainable? Will the players continue to give their all or at some point decide they're damned either way and the defense mechanisms get set to default? Even better. What do you think all those vaunted recruits will think when they see lazy uninspired fans in a half empty stadium continually bash athletes because of how they didn't win in style (4 or more TD's)?
Trust me, the state of Louisiana already has too much working against it, help from the LSU fan base only exacerbates the matter. The answers are obvious, . . . the behavior is inexcusable.

I agree 100% with what you said. It is a shame because that stadium empties as soon as something does not go right. The fans that are in the stadium do not support the team the way they should. It will cost us in recruiting when they start brining in new recruits and they see the it empty out before the end of the third quarter. This will not be on Les Miles this will be on the fans. I hope when a recruit decides to go some place else that if that is the reason they do not come to LSU that they say it was the fans fault why they did not come here.

It was raining. Find something legitimate to worry about.

Louisiana is a great place to live. What are you talking about?what does it have working against it? It's on the way up Biotch.

How many posts are going to be about the fans this week? Who gives a shite? You apparently. Freedom of choice. It was raining, the game was on t.v.... so what? People left. LSU won. The players are gonna give up 'cause the fans are leaving?

If the players come here or the stands for their motivation to play, then we are in deep trouble. That was dumber than the worst of the negatiger posts, dude.

Big games? The stands were empty when we were up by 3! It was just a little rain. We want our players to play in it but we wont stay and watch them in it?

then their nfl draft stock will drop severely.
doubt they would want that.

I won't stay in it. I'm a fan not a player. I pay my money and do what I want and that was stay dry last night. Just one of the perks of being a grown man instead of a college football player.

Sounds like you are also a grown vagina. Unless you have kids that you are with, Its fricking LSU football. It isnt a tennis match. My very first LSU game in TS ever it rained HARD and you better believe they still had a better crowd for a 1-AA opponent than for last nites BCS, bowl game team.

After LSU loses a high profile recruit and he sites the fans as a reason, I'm guessing that will legitimize the issue for you.

The way we played last night we aren't one of those teams in contention lol.

It was traumatic for diehards to see. Clearly you wouldn't understand.
Once recruits begin reevaluating their choices based on what they saw and heard on TV, you'll be kool about it right?
Do it against UF, Alabama or anyone else after bashing them for how they are winning and we'll see. They are still young you know.

Mind your own business or baby sit the kids while I stand in the rain.

It was Vandy in the rain. UF and Bama will be electric as always and next year after it rains while we are playing ULM you will come on here and bitch that we should have stayed to impress some 18 yr. old that is used to playing in front of 10k and that we are killing the program by taking our crying wet kids home. Ever heard the expression "not enough sense to come in out of the rain"?

You don't think a recruit within a 100 mile radius can visit on his own? Not unheard of for a guy and his parents to attend a game to get a feel outside the parameters of a staged official recruiting visit. Maybe a recruit and some friends decided to go to LSU's first home game. Could happen.

If you don't think it will eventually take it's toll on the player's psyche, then by all means, keep doing it.
